Welcome to the original Giant African Land Snail and Invertebrate rescue website!!!

Started in 1997, The Snail Shelter takes in mainly unwanted Giant African Land Snails, and also other exotic invertebrates such as stick insects and tarantulas.

GOOD NEWS!

We're back up and running! -

I have very limited spaces available for taking in snails and other invertebrates.

I am once again available locally for shows and talks.

If you have any queries at all - please email me! I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Thankyou to everyone who has supported the Shelter. Work would have been a lot harder without your help, kind emails and support. You all rock!

'Will you walk a little faster?' said a whiting to a snail,
'There's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail.'
