The Snail Shelter

Welcome to the original Giant African Land Snail and Invertebrate rescue website!!!

Started in 1997, The Snail Shelter takes in mainly unwanted Giant African Land Snails, and also other exotic invertebrates such as stick insects and tarantulas.

I am currently updating the entire site to include more pictures, more information on other exotic invertebrates, pictures from the Bugs On Tour roadshow, what you can do if you see exotic invertebrates being treated badly at you pet shop as well as tweaking the site around a bit.

Please email me if you have anything you would like to see here.

I am always available to answer your snail and other bug queries - thats what I am here for! Please email me!

I look forward to hearing from you.

'Will you walk a little faster?' said a whiting to a snail,
'There's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail.'
